CLIMATIC-ALTITUDE TEST CHAMBER – SIRAX SERIES

 

Combined environmental testing of temperature, humidity and pressure at high altitude
 

The SIRAX is the official DOT climatic-altitude test chamber manufactured by Il Disgelo, designed for combined environmental testing of temperature, humidity and pressure, with high-altitude simulation up to 45,000 m.
 

It is intended for test laboratories and R&D departments operating in the aerospace, defence, energy, advanced electronics and scientific research sectors, where high levels of accuracy, stability and long-term repeatability are required.


The SIRAX platform integrates a high-performance vacuum system and a multi-stage climatic circuit, enabling reliable testing even under severe dynamic conditions, with rapid temperature and pressure variations.


The control system is fully proprietary DOT, based on AltitudeClimaLogic, the same platform used on the DRACARYS and VIBERION product lines, with DiDrus supervision software for cycle programming, real-time monitoring and data logging.

 

Structure and Architecture

 

The SIRAX chamber is built with a high-thickness AISI 304 stainless-steel test space, corrosion-treated and designed to withstand repeated pressure and temperature cycles.

  • Internal structure made of AISI 304 stainless steel

  • Reinforced thermal insulation (200 mm)

  • Multi-stage refrigeration circuit with semi-hermetic compressors

  • Balanced air treatment and recirculation system to ensure thermal and climatic uniformity

  • Vacuum system with rotary mechanical pump

  • Digital control with adaptive PID regulation

The overall design is focused on test condition stability and repeatability of results, even during combined and highly demanding test cycles.

 

Climatic and Altitude Performance

 

The SIRAX allows:

  • altitude simulation up to 45,000 m

  • pressure range: 1013 to 2 mbar

  • depressurization: from atmospheric pressure to 10 mbar in less than 30 minutes

  • standard heating and cooling rates ≥ 3 °C/min, according to IEC 60068-3-5

  • accurate and simultaneous control of temperature, humidity and pressure

 


Control System and Connectivity

 

The DOT AltitudeClimaLogic control system enables:

  • programming of complex climatic and altitude test cycles

  • real-time visualization of all test parameters

  • data logging and full test traceability

  • integration with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)

Supervision is provided by DiDrus software, accessible locally or remotely via Ethernet connection.

Standard connectivity includes Ethernet, RS485 and USB.
