Combined environmental testing of temperature, humidity and vibration


The VIBERION is the official DOT climatic test chamber manufactured by Il Disgelo, designed for combined environmental testing of temperature, humidity and vibration, either in stand-alone configuration or integrated with vibration systems.


It is intended for test laboratories, R&D and validation departments operating in the electronics, aerospace, automotive, defence and telecommunications sectors, where reliable and repeatable ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) tests are required in compliance with major international standards.

 

Architecture and Test Concept

 

VIBERION chambers are engineered to be fully compatible with vibration systems, including:
 

  • electrodynamic shakers

  • hydraulic shakers

  • vertical and horizontal motion systems

  • configurations with slip tables


This architecture allows the chamber to be used:
 

  • as a stand-alone climatic chamber

  • or as a combined climatic + vibration test chamber


ensuring maximum operational flexibility.

 

Structural Design and Reliability

 

The VIBERION chamber features a robust structure specifically designed for intensive dynamic testing.


Main construction features

 
  • External structure made of galvanized, powder-coated steel (RAL 7042)

  • Internal test space in mirror-finished AISI 304 stainless steel, 1.0 mm thickness

  • Thermal insulation with high-density rigid polyurethane foam and rock wool

  • Full-opening door with silicone gaskets

  • Internal lighting via LED lamps positioned outside the inspection window


Vibration floor system

 
  • Interchangeable floor, designed to adapt to different vibration systems

  • Standard interface for vertical vibration

  • Blind or special floors available on request

  • PTFE (Teflon) plates to facilitate floor replacement


Standard models are available with automatic vertical and horizontal movement for combined vibration testing.

 

Climatic Performance

 

The VIBERION series covers a wide operating range for climatic and combined tests:
 

  • Temperature range: −70 °C to +180 °C
    (A:+25 °C | B:0 °C | C:−20 °C | D:−40 °C | E:−50 °C | F:−60 °C | G:−70 °C)

  • Climatic operating range: +10 °C to +90 °C

  • Humidity range: 20 % to 98 % RH
    (special options: 10–98 % RH or 5–98 % RH)


Thermal dynamics

 
  • Heating rate: 3 °C/min

  • Cooling rate: 2.5 °C/min


Accuracy and uniformity

 
  • Sensor resolution / accuracy: 0.01 °C ; 0.1 % RH

  • Spatial uniformity: ±1.0 °C ; ±3.0 % RH

  • Stability: ±1.0 °C ; ±2.0 % RH

 


Refrigeration System

 
  • Cascade refrigeration system, CFC-free

  • Semi-hermetic compressors by Copeland or Bitzer

  • Air-cooled or water-cooled condenser

  • Pressure-controlled valve for water flow regulation on water-cooled models

 


Control and Supervision System

 

The VIBERION chamber is equipped with:
 

  • DOT 10″ Touch Panel

  • proprietary ClimaLogic® software

  • industrial PLC for function management and safety interlocks

  • storage of up to 500 programs, each with 20 segments

  • cycle concatenation up to 160 segments

  • setpoint modification during test execution

  • continuous data recording

  • data export via USB

Advanced supervision is provided by DiDrus software, accessible on PC and remotely via Ethernet (LAN) connection.
