VELARYON | Corrosion Test Chamber

The VELARYON corrosion test chambers by Il Disgelo are systems designed to perform accelerated corrosion tests and controlled environmental cycles on materials, coatings, components and products intended for industrial and research applications.

VELARYON configurations make it possible to combine salt spray, temperature, humidity and drying phases, reproducing different corrosive conditions in a controlled, stable and repeatable way.

The chambers can perform different test methods, including NSS (Neutral Salt Spray), AASS (Acetic Acid Salt Spray), CASS (Copper Accelerated Acetic Acid Salt Spray), Damp Heat, Dry Test and combined cycles, allowing the corrosion resistance of materials and surface treatments to be evaluated. The documented configuration also uses a titanium test tank and AISI 316 spray nozzles, materials selected for continuous operation in aggressive environments.

The system integrates the control of environmental conditions and salt-solution atomization, allowing automatic test sequences to be programmed and the main process parameters to be acquired and recorded.

VELARYON chambers are used in the automotive, mobility, mechanical engineering, surface treatment, coatings, components, metallic materials and industrial sectors, for development, qualification, validation and corrosion-resistance testing activities.

VELARYON configurations can be defined according to usable volume, test methodology, temperature and humidity range, sample characteristics, cycle duration and regulatory requirements, making it possible to adapt the system to specific laboratory and process requirements.
