The VHAGAR thermal shock chambers are designed to perform rapid and repeated temperature variation tests on components, materials and devices, exposing specimens to extreme thermal conditions in a controlled and repeatable way.
The platform is available in two configurations:
- 2-chamber dynamic configuration, with a hot zone and a cold zone and automatic specimen transfer by means of a basket;
- 3-chamber static configuration, with a hot zone, a cold zone and a separate test area where the specimen remains stationary while hot and cold airflows are alternated.
The 3-chamber configuration is particularly suitable when the device under test must remain electrically, hydraulically or otherwise connected to external services throughout the test cycle.
The VHAGAR range covers useful volumes from 42 to 450 litres and can be configured for minimum temperatures down to −75 °C and maximum temperatures up to +200 °C, depending on the selected version.
Are designed to ensure:
- rapid transitions between high- and low-temperature conditions;
- high repeatability of thermal shock cycles;
- precise control of the different thermal zones;
- automatic management of test sequences;
- high stability of test conditions;
- possibility of starting the cycle from either the hot or cold zone;
- integration with sensors and external devices;
- monitoring, data logging and remote supervision;
- dedicated protection and safety systems.
VHAGAR chambers are particularly suitable for automotive, e-mobility, electronics, microelectronics, aerospace, defence, railway, telecommunications, industrial components and R&D laboratories.
The configurable design allows each system to be defined according to the specimen volume, thermal mass, required temperature ranges, transfer times, DUT connection requirements, number of cycles and specific application needs.
