DROGON MODULAR

Modularity, Safety, and High Performance for Demanding Environmental Testing

The DROGON series walk-in climate chambers are designed for environmentally controlled testing with maximum structural flexibility, operational safety, and custom configuration. Ideal for laboratories, R&D departments, and industrial applications, these chambers deliver reliable results even under the most extreme conditions.

Available in two structural configurations:

  • Modular version with eccentric hook-connected panels

  • Hermetically welded version, ideal for testing up to +120°C or with 95% relative humidity at 95°C isotherm

The internal structure is made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel, corrosion-resistant and easy to sanitize. The anti-slip floor is engineered to ensure maximum operator safety, even in the presence of frost or condensation.

Perfect for advanced testing applications, DROGON chambers combine mechanical robustness, thermal precision, and modular construction.

Thermal and Climatic Performance

Specification Value
Minimum temperature range -70°C / -40°C / -20°C / +25°C
Maximum temperature range +50°C / +80°C / +120°C (with rock wool + polyurethane sandwich panels)
Temperature uniformity ±1°C
Temperature fluctuation ±0.2°C
Standard climatic range +10°C / +80°C
Minimum dew point +4°C / +49°C (expandable on request)
Relative humidity uniformity ±3%
Relative humidity fluctuation ±1%
Temperature change rate Customizable based on standards and test type

Performance is ensured by a dedicated refrigeration group and electric heating elements, calibrated according to:
  • Test specifications

  • Material type and thermal mass

  • Applicable standards

  • Energy efficiency objectives

The humidity control system can be expanded with enthalpy wheels or dry air dehumidification columns, enabling wider operating ranges and lower dew points.

Climatogram

In the context of laboratory testing, a climatogram no longer refers to seasons and months, but displays the temperature and humidity values measured inside the chamber during a mapping or test cycle in an integrated manner.

Structure and Insulation

The chamber is built using high-quality modular prefabricated insulating panels, featuring:

  • External cladding in pre-painted galvanized sheet (RAL 9010)

  • Internal cladding in AISI 304 stainless steel (also available in pre-painted finish)

The thermal insulation is made of self-extinguishing polyurethane foam with the following characteristics:

  • Density: 40/42 kg/m³

  • Thermal conductivity: 0.024 W/mK at +10°C

  • Closed-cell structure >95% (non-hygroscopic)

  • Compressive strength: >200 kPa

  • Fire reaction class: B3

Panels are connected via a patented male/female self-aligning PVC joint with food-grade silicone sealant, ensuring:

  • Excellent thermal sealing

  • Moisture resistance

  • Structural integrity, with eccentric hook locks on 120–160 mm thickness panels
