The DOT Calorimeter Indoor / Outdoor by Il Disgelo is a custom Walk-In calorimetric chamber designed for the thermal and energy characterization of building-envelope components, transparent elements, active envelope systems, solar and photovoltaic panels, HVAC systems and other technical equipment.
The system can be configured with two independent climatic environments, Indoor and Outdoor, separated by an insulated removable partition. This architecture makes it possible to expose the two sides of the DUT to different temperature and humidity conditions at the same time, reproducing controlled and repeatable environmental conditions during the test.
The climatic conditioning system can integrate temperature and humidity control, indirect thermoregulation circuits, refrigeration, electric heating, steam humidification and dehumidification, while dedicated instrumentation allows the thermal power exchanged during the test to be measured and calculated.
Depending on the application, the chamber can also integrate hydronic loops, radiant panels, solar simulation systems, dedicated measurement instrumentation and data acquisition, creating a complete calorimetric test platform developed around the DUT and the required test methodology.
