−70/+180 °C with Humidity Control and Cascade Refrigeration
Il Disgelo developed for CAELIS a 408 L DOT DRACARYS climatic chamber designed for thermal-climatic testing over a wide temperature range, from −70 °C to +180 °C, with relative humidity control from 20% to 98% RH.
The configuration uses an R449A/R472B cascade refrigeration system, enabling very low temperatures while maintaining stable and continuous operation throughout the test cycles.
Developed Solution
The DRACARYS features a monoblock construction with an AISI 304 stainless-steel test chamber, 100 mm thermal insulation and an integrated air-treatment system.
The system is designed to provide:
- −70 °C to +180 °C temperature range;
- 20–98% RH relative humidity;
- heating rate up to 3.5 °C/min;
- cooling rate up to 3 °C/min;
- R449A/R472B cascade refrigeration;
- temperature uniformity ≤ 1.5 °C;
- front door with heated inspection window;
- two Ø100 mm technical feedthroughs;
- two adjustable internal shelves;
- test parameter recording;
- control and supervision through CliMaLogic®;
