Controlled climatic environment of over 21 m³ for thermal-climatic testing and laboratory activities
Il Disgelo designed and manufactured for VDE Global Service – Fabriano site a custom DOT DROGON Walk-In climatic chamber with a usable volume of over 21 m³, developed for environmental testing under controlled temperature and humidity conditions.
The chamber was configured to provide stable and repeatable climatic conditions, integrating dedicated air-treatment, refrigeration, heating, humidification, dehumidification and automatic control systems.
Developed Solution
The configuration uses a modular prefabricated structure with an AISI 304 stainless-steel interior, high-density polyurethane insulation and a ceiling-mounted air-treatment system.
The system was designed to provide:
- combined temperature and relative humidity control;
- thermal variation rates up to 1 °C/min in heating and cooling;
- uniform air distribution inside the test chamber;
- continuous operation for environmental testing;
- programmable management of test cycles;
- recording and export of test parameters;
- remote supervision via Ethernet network;
- easy chamber access thanks to the threshold-free entrance;
- independent safety and thermal protection systems.
Control is managed by the CliMaLogic® system, with PLC and touch panel, climatic program management, alarms, data logging and communication with external systems via VNC Viewer and Modbus TCP/IP.
