Custom 7500-Litre Climatic Chamber with Remote Refrigeration System

Il Disgelo designed and manufactured a custom 7500-litre climatic chamber, developed with the refrigeration unit and air-cooled condenser installed remotely from the chamber.

This configuration was selected to reduce noise and heat dissipation in the test area, keeping the main refrigeration components separate from the working environment.

Developed Solution

The installation required the implementation of a remote refrigeration circuit with approximately 26 metres of piping, dimensioned by considering the entire route, including bends, changes in elevation and constraints within the installation area.

The system was designed to provide:

• separation of the refrigeration unit from the test area;
• reduced noise within the working environment;
• reduced heat dissipation from the refrigeration system;
• correct operation of the refrigeration circuit over a long distance;
• compensation for pressure losses along the piping;
• integration of the system into the existing layout;
• routing of the lines to avoid interference with operators and equipment.

Result

The solution made it possible to integrate a large-volume climatic chamber with a remote refrigeration system, keeping the noise and heat generated by the system away from the test area and adapting the refrigeration circuit to the specific characteristics of the installation.
