Climatic system integrated with a shaker for combined temperature, humidity and vibration testing

Il Disgelo designed and manufactured for DENSO Thermal Systems – Poirino a 10 m³ DOT VIBERION climatic chamber, developed for combined temperature, humidity and vibration testing on automotive components and systems.

The chamber was designed for integration with a shaker bench, allowing the DUT to be subjected to climatic and vibration stresses within the same test environment. The configuration was dimensioned according to the geometry, mass and characteristics of the component under test.

Developed Solution

The configuration integrates a DOT VIBERION climatic chamber mounted on a vertical and horizontal handling system, designed to ensure correct positioning of the chamber in relation to the shaker and the different test configurations.

The system was designed to provide:

  • combined temperature, humidity and vibration testing;
  • integration with shaker and vibration systems;
  • vertical movement of the chamber;
  • lateral transfer for different test-bench configurations;
  • correct positioning and sealing between the climatic chamber and shaker interface;
  • rapid temperature variation rates up to 5 °C/min;
  • precise temperature and relative humidity control;
  • programming and recording of test cycles;
  • connection with external data-acquisition and supervision systems.

Control is managed by the CliMaLogic® system, with DOT Touch Panel, program management, data logging and data export, as well as remote supervision via Ethernet, VNC Viewer and Modbus TCP/IP.

The solution enables DENSO Poirino to perform combined climatic and vibration testing on automotive components, integrating extreme temperature conditions, humidity control and mechanical stresses within a single custom-engineered DOT VIBERION system.
