Il Disgelo supplies SPEA S.p.A., a manufacturer of automatic test equipment (ATE) for electronics, with a range of compact compressed-air chillers — CH110, CH120 and CH130 — integrated into its test machines to condition the air used for thermal treatment of test heads.

Developed Solution

• CH110 and CH120 cool compressed air below −80°C (targeting −90°C) with a two-stage cascade refrigeration system;
• CH130 is a more compact single-stage version, down to −20°C;
• compact structure designed to integrate into the test machine's frame;
• design continuity across revisions for compatibility with already installed machines;
• dedicated functional testing on every unit;
• dedicated servicing and spare parts over time.

• CH110/CH120: two-stage cascade system (R452A + R23); outlet temperature below −80°C (target −90°C); flow approximately 700 l/min; installed power approximately 1,800 W;
• CH130: dimensions 500×470×1050 mm; weight 85 kg; power 0.9 kW; minimum temperature −20°C at 500 l/min; refrigerant R449A; continuous operation up to 48h.
