Series Tcem Back-to-Back 1.2 m³ ACU SYSTEM
The DOT TCEM | Back-to-Back 1.2 m³ ACU System is a specialised climatic testing solution within the TCEM range, designed to perform thermal and climatic tests on Back-to-Back E-Motor configurations, where two electric motors are tested simultaneously inside two separate climatic compartments integrated with the dynamometer system.
The solution consists of two independent climatic chambers and an external ACU conditioning unit. Inside the ACU, two separate air-treatment systems are installed, one dedicated to each chamber, allowing the climatic conditions of the two test compartments to be controlled independently.
The chambers are connected to the ACU through flexible insulated supply and return air ducts. This architecture allows the system layout to be adapted to the test-bench configuration, dynamometer position and available laboratory space.
The chambers are built with a high-rigidity structure divided into removable and connectable sections, developed to facilitate E-Motor installation, access to the system under test and configuration and maintenance activities.
Dedicated interfaces allow the integration of drive shafts, cooling circuits, wiring, sensors, data-acquisition systems and auxiliary equipment, while maintaining high stability and uniformity of the climatic conditions in both test compartments.
is designed to ensure:
- simultaneous testing of two electric motors in Back-to-Back configuration;
- integration with dynamometers, load systems and external test benches;
- independent control of climatic conditions in the two test compartments;
- coordinated management of temperature and humidity;
- execution of functional tests, durability cycles and validation programmes;
- management of the thermal loads generated by the systems under test;
- high stability and uniformity of climatic conditions;
- precision and repeatability of results over time;
- flexible configuration of the chambers and ACU unit;
- facilitated access through removable chamber structures;
- integration of shafts, wiring, piping and service circuits;
- connection with external acquisition, supervision and control systems;
- independent management of the climatic parameters of each chamber;
- configuration of specific interfaces, interlocks and safety devices;
- supervision, data logging and remote management through DOT technology.
It is particularly suitable for laboratories, testing centres and research and development departments operating in the automotive, electric mobility, motorsport and industrial powertrain sectors.
The customised design allows the two chambers, the related ACU System and the connection interfaces to be configured according to the characteristics of the motors under test, the generated thermal loads, the Back-to-Back configuration, the dynamometer test-bench layout and the specific constraints of the installation area.
